I don’t remember when I found this .gif, or who made it (if you know, tell me so I can credit them), but it’s just the best thing.

Mostly in how the horn player is not only bracing his ear from the sound, but how the shock of the hammer makes his music bounce.

Not only the aforementioned, but the sheer look of displeasure on the bass clarinetist’s face.

I posit that this is absolutely the best moment in all of the known orchestral repertoire.

This was all shot in one take, as I wanted to convey the “Crescendo” theme as a gradual ascension, retracing the steps of a student through the major events in college. Shooting this along UCLA’s Wilson Plaza walk and ending at the iconic Janss steps parallels the idea of “day one”; the representation of one’s timeline of life unfolding in reverse.

Several visual and aural themes drawing upon the idea of increasing progression are woven together to complete a simple, yet sincere, expression of ITASA’s ideals: to connect, inspire, and empower the Taiwanese American community.

A crescendo of voices, of spirit, of identity: it all begins with you.

I have arrived at the realization that, if I were to cease to exist post-graduation, I would still be content - for my college years have been unimaginably fulfilling.

To myself, the act of entertaining such a thought would never have crossed my mind, four years ago. I embarked on a journey that has shaken me to the depths of my very core; a journey that has precisely awakened in me the consciousness of who I am.

These glorious college days.. I wouldn’t trade them for anything else.
